Updating the forums today -- expect problems

The forums are long-overdue for improvements and some added features. The main task is to redo the appearance of the site and, hopefully, to integrate BscotchID avatars. Things might break pretty hard, so be wary.

UPDATE: Email is now enabled.

Emails will remain PRIVATE, so other users cannot see them. You cannot change your address in the forums, because it comes from BscotchID which is a separate entity (we'll eventually have that feature within BscotchID itself).

Emails will come from robot@butterscotch-shenanigans.com, so add that to your address book if you haven't already.

Not sure how post/topic subscribing works with email. Maybe it doesn't. On the list of things to look at.

Probably should turn that "subscribe to topic" as the default off. Otherwise you'll flood inboxes. Let people pick and choose what they want to sign up to recieve email notifications about.

I like the new look and I think the avatar integration will give more incentive to unlock those perks. I also agree with MeaKitty on the default subscribe thing

WOOOOOO. Yeah, I had broken the dev avatars so that I was a bunch of gifts, Seth was Sam, and Sam was me. OOPS.

What kind of editor problems did you have?

Still in the middle of overhauling, so don't worry about appearance.
