MultiScreen/iPad Pro native resolution support?

Talk about Crashlands with your fellow players here! NOT for advice and help.
Congratulations on your launch, guys. I was just wondering if native iPad Pro support was incoming as I really think it would look spectacular.

Heyo!

What do you mean by native iPAD support? Something looking goofy?

The iPad Pro, being larger, has a more pixels than a regular retina iPad. It runs at 2732 x 2048, but unless you indicate in your build that your app is cool with it or it uses Auto-Layout, iOS will just render at the standard 2048x1536 and upscale it, resulting in it being pretty blurry, rather far from being as crisply glorious as it looks on other devices.

On that note, adding splitview support would also be pretty wonderful (but totally inessential).

I've noticed some resolution related issues with the game too, but on PC, if you are playing on a non-standard resolution (1920x1080, 1024x768, etc) the game goes batty...Switching between fullscreen and windowed on PC doesn't help either, it seems like the window on PC is locked to the aspect ratio of the display. It's probably also worth noting that this seems to be tied to having my multiple monitors running through Nvidia surround and by turning off surround, and restarting crashlands fixed it.

Yo! Have you tried changing the field of view in the settings from the main menu?

I'll resetup surround and run the game in windowed mod and cap some screenshots of it looks like and I'll look through the settings to see what fiddling with them does...another post will be up shortly

With Nvidia Surround setup linking my monitors into a combined resolution of 5760x1080. Note the window is not resizeable. Changing the FOV setting just makes the WINDOW size smaller

main menu looks like in windowed and FOV is set to Turbo Huge

FOV = Small

In Game same FOV = Turbo Huge

Paused FOV = Turbo Huge Note the list does not scroll like the menu in setting does

Just turned off Surround and playing the game windowed the imagery scales as expected when switching FOVs, window is still locked and just resizes when changing the FOVs. Seems like the game doesn't like the 5.33x1 aspect ratio...

HOLY MONSTER! I hadn't thought about that.

Yeah, the game just auto-adjusts itself to the resolution of your monitor. But now I see that was a naive thing to do... I'll have to fix that in the next patch.

Thank you for the speed reply, glad I could help with the bug squashing. Looking forward to that update as switching in and out of surround is not fun. Will leave surround off for the time being though

BACK TO Crashlands!!!

PS If you do get it to support the ridiculousness that is 5760x1080 in Turbo huge (would LOVE that large of a visible area, or just want someone to test it out to see what it behaves like consider this an offer from me to volunteer lol

There would be so many tiles on screen... your FPS would probably drop to 3!
