Juice Rewards - Some quests feel bad.

Flop dat rocket all the way to SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE!
I've noticed that some of the quests don't reward you with enough juice for me to consider it worth even attempting the quest.
Specifically the "fly the escape pod X meters." quests. They generally only reward you with about 4 juice for completion and the escape pod already costs 2 juice.
This causes me to just crash the rocket 3 or so times to get to the next quest to maximise juice collection.
What was the thought process behind juice reward amounts for the varying quests? I'm actually 100% interested in what the balancing design was and I'm not being sarcastic at all.

Also I'm really really sorry if any of this sounds rude or condescending I have a really hard time not coming across as such in text form. :(

I suspect that there wasn't a lot of careful balance for those -- @bscotchseth would be able to answer.
