DO YOU EVEN LIFT?! (Indie Speed Run / Scatterjam 2015)

Tiny games made by the Butterscotch Bros, typically in under 48 hours!
HEY, GANG! We made a game for the Indie Speed Run this year, and for the St Louis Scatterjam. The Indie Speed Run is a worldwide competition, and we aren't allowed to "publish" the game until the competition is over. We put it on itch.io as part of the ScatterJam, but we're keeping pretty HUSH HUSH about it until the ISR contest is done. But still, that doesn't mean we can't let our lovely forum-goers play! So WITHOUT FURTHER BLAH, I'd like to introduce the game we made last weekend.

Seems the Bureau of Science accidentally set loose a GOOPIDEMIC. Now they're callin' us in to clean up the mess.

Use the ELEVATOR (W/S keys) to bring those frilly WORKERS up to the rooftop for extraction. Our mercenaries will ride down to take care of any Goopoids along the way. You'll also have full access to the facility's door system - open and close those doors (left-click) to keep workers safe and let our mercs in.

You'll earn some of that precious space coin whenever you save a worker. Make sure to spend it outfittin' our Mercs so we can handle harder contracts - they pay the big bucks.

Thanks! We feel great about it, given the super-short development time.

They answered on the chat so I'll try to explain it here:
They would like to but they don't know if they can (due to rules of game jams or something).
But they'll probably answer much more precisely :)

Also, this game's AWESOME and you HAVE TO feel great for achieving SUCH GREATNESS in ONLY TWO DAYS.

Btw, do you plan on updating it and add stuff? :)

@scotchste @Ulnarevern

We have no concrete plans, and are right back to full-time Crashlands dev. We definitely won't be adding content or making a mobile version available before the Indie Speed Run contest is over, otherwise we'd definitely be breaking the rules. After Crashlands, there's a solid chance we'll spend a week or so making it mobile friendly, fixing bugs, improving the AI, and then prepping it for launch. It won't turn into a much bigger game than it already is.

Aww :(
I'd have loved some kind of "infinite" upgrade system, or at least some more upgrade, even if the game's already great as it is :D

ALSO: I'M EFFICIENT EVERYONE :P

AGREED. Economies are super hard to balance, but we only had about 30 minutes to try to get it in a decent spot at the end of the jam. With a few more days of dev time, we could come up with something much better, I think!

Reason: Seth, we do not quote post right above ours.

You could always come up with something better and you already wrote/told it a lot of times:
You could make each of your games way better by adding stuff, but there's a point where you need to consider money and start making new games :)

But considering the dev time, it is a crazy performance and a crazy awesome game! :D
